Abano Terme overview

Situated on high overlooking the Med in northeast Italy, historical Abano Terme is a pleasant spa town noted for its vast amount of spa resorts and efforts to dissuade ‘noisy’ visitors from being noisy. The town is near to Padua and is also not far from Venice, where there is an international airport, yet couldn’t be more different than these places. Visitors come here to kick-back and lounge about in one of the spa resorts after taking in the towns’ historical highlights, such as that of the ancient Scrovegni’s Chapel and Saint Anthony’s Cathedral. The place is also loaded with markets and has some of the best seafood restaurants of the region.
