Siena overview

Siena is a city in the Tuscany region that is famous for precisely the things that most cities in Italy are famous for, art, architecture, and food. The centre of Siena is well maintained and was named as a World Heritage Site and is one of the most heavily visited places in all of Italy. The medieval cityscape is one of the most unique in Tuscany and has maintained its medieval structure to this day. The Cathedral of Siena is one of the most iconic in the country and is a great example of the Romanesque style of Italian architecture. The city is broken into wards which all revolve around the ancient city centre, which makes Siena an easy city to traverse by foot. If you like walking around museums then Siena is perfect for you as the city is basically just a big museum.
